This statement applies to the website https:\/\/jvk.de<\/a>. We are committed to ensuring accessibility in accordance with legal requirements. <\/p>

Legal Basis and Scope<\/strong><\/p>

In Germany, the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) will come into force on June 28, 2025. It implements EU Directive (EU) 2019\/882 (European Accessibility Act) and also obliges private economic operators to make digital offerings accessible. <\/p>

For our shop, this means that we adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 Level AA (or WCAG 2.2 in due course, as required by the BFSG).<\/p>

Status of Accessibility<\/strong><\/p>

We have reviewed and continuously improved the website in consideration of WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The most important measures include: <\/p>

Semantic Structure:<\/strong>
Use of appropriate headings (h1, h2 etc.), ARIA roles, and landmark elements to support navigation for screen readers.<\/p>

Form Elements:<\/strong>
Labels are correctly linked with for attributes. Dynamic variant headings are inserted via JavaScript with role=”heading” and appropriate ARIA attributes. <\/p>

Contrast and Design:<\/strong>
Text colors and backgrounds meet the contrast requirements for Level AA. Focus indicators are clearly visible. <\/p>

Responsive Design:<\/strong>
Mobile and desktop versions adapt flexibly; content remains accessible with zoom or screen reader usage.<\/p>

Navigation:<\/strong>
All interactive elements (buttons, links) are keyboard-accessible without creating a “keyboard trap”.<\/p>

Known Limitations<\/strong><\/p>

Missing Alt Attributes:<\/strong>
Some images currently do not yet have alternative texts. We plan to add these using an AI plugin. <\/p>

External Content:<\/strong>
Some embedded widgets or scripts from external providers may not be fully accessible.<\/p>
